It rests on a stone plinth, is about nine-teen feet long, eleven feet wide and tenfeet high, and has a small door on thenorth and one on the south side for theuse of priests ministering at the altarwithin. Over each door appear the RoyalArms with supporters and in front ofeach is a lamp standard in the form of aTudor rose. So numerous are the rosesthat the tomb might well be called TheRose Tomb. 488.
