Noripterus and Dsungaripterus pterosaurs. Illustration of two pterosaurs flying above a Wuerhosaurus dinosaur with its young. At upper left is a Noripterus pterosaur (previously known as Phobeter parvus). At centre is a Dsungaripterus pterosaur. These flying reptiles lived around during the Early Cretaceous (146 to 100 million years ago). Pterosaurs flew with wings formed from a membranous structure stretched between the ankles and a lengthened finger. Wuerhosaurus was a stegosaurid dinosaur.
