This movementoriginated in the year 1879, when a Cadet Corps attached to Anna Post, No. 94, G. A. R., at Philadelphia (organized the precedingyear), was constituted Anna M. Ross Camp, No. 1, Sons of existing cadet organizations affiliated with local posts soon adoptedthe new title and the obligations of the order. In the meantime similarmovements have gained strength in Pittsburgh and elsewhere,
