Mr. Foster belongs to that superior, although unpretentious class of farmers whoare willing to make some sacrifice to establish themselves on the best basis, and whothen take pride in keeping their places in apple-pie order. The marriage of Mr. Foster occurred in 1881, when he was united with MissCatherine McClurkin, a native of Indiana, and three children have blessed their fortu-nate union. They are W. Vern, who assists his father; Rachel, a graduate from the Indi-ana State University and living at home; and Homer Foster, the latter a teacher in theAnaheini high school.
