BOVINE TUBERCULOSIS Eradication of bovine tuberculosis is the most important activity of thisDivision. On December 1, 1930, we had on file at this office applicationsfor the tuberculin test for over 10,000 head of cattle, and during the firstfour months of this year have received applications covering 28,642 cattle,with a total for the year of 51,189. We have been faced, therefore, with adifficult and impossible program, as the appropriations made by the Federaland State governments would not be sufficient to pay the indemnity whichwould be incurred in testing so large a number of c
