Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire. Home of the Fox Talbot Photographic Musuem. Origionally a Augustinian nunnery until the dissolution of the monasteries in the mid-16th century. In the early 19th century the scientist and inventor William Henry Fox Talbot developed one of the first types of photographic capture and reproduction of images.
