Burscough, Lancashire. UK Weather. 30/10/2018. Cold weather brings more migrant pink-footed geese from Iceland whose arrival coincides with the harvesting of carrots and potatoes. The remains of the harvested vegetables provide a rich source of food for the large flocks, (estimates of up to 14,000) before they begin the onward migration south.
