EAST CHINA SEA (June 3, 2017) Combat Cargo Marines, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), offload gear and equipment from an MV-22B Osprey, assigned to the “Dragons” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265, aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, is on a routine patrol, operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to serve as a forward-capability for any type of contingency.
