The Louise homewas erected by her father as amemorial to his wife and 1854 Mr. Corcoran retired fromthe banking business, and gave histime entii-ely to the management ofhis private affairs. His attentionwas now directed to plans for car-rying out extensive benevolent pro-jects, and resulted in the organiza-tion of a system that embraced inits compass eveiy aspect of humanlife.
