A South German heavy crossbow (full size), circa 1580, Robust, iron prod (width 93 cm), double Breslau(?) marks on the inside. Older cord bridle with interlaced iron suspension ring, polychrome tassels and older repair of nailed leather. Tiller veneered with engraved horn and decorated with engraved bone inlays, partially added at the underside. Four-axle lock with older brass nut, lateral iron studs for the cranequin.
