English: Portrait of Colonel Edward Frank Harrison, World War 1 chemist and inventor of gas mask. A hand written caption on the reverse reads: 'Colonel Harrison. Friend of the Tomalins*; in command of all gas defence in 1914-18 war; died from gas effects.' this image was given to the Tomalin family (founders of Jaeger) It appears that the image in the some old press cuttings is from the same sitting, and I have a feeling that the memorial at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, and their Harrison Memorial medal, are derived from this image. 1916 95 Colonel-Edward-Frank-Harrison
