Four pounds to Full Sized Onions the First Year. All the Ameri- can seed we offer will grow full-sized Onions the first year. To do this they should be sown as soon as possible in the spring. Sow thinly, four or five pounds to the acre, in drills one foot apart, and about one quarter of an inch deep, in strong land, well manured, and thin out to stand three or four inches apart in the drills, keeping them well hoed and free from weeds. Fall Sowing-. Seed can be sown in August and Sep- tember, in drills wide enough apart to admit of working; when the plants have grown of sufficient size to be fit for table use thin out to four inches apart.
