Pittsburgh Cut Hower Co., ti^^rBSRGSN'i: BOOHESTEB, K. Y. The Market. Warm summer weather continues, but, in spite of the heat, *)U8ines8 has been fairly good. The summer crop of roses includes a great many short-stemmed and small flowers, which are flooding the market and are sold cheaply. There are some of excellent quality, however. Gladioli are much more abundant, Halley being fine, but America not so plentiful. Car- nations are small. Garden flowers are as much in demand as ever. Gypsophila is being used profusely in baskets and all kinds of funeral work. Blooming hydrangeas are in their prime now and large quantities are being disposed of. Various Notes. Mrs. Babst, of the Rochester Floral Co., is spending the summer at Sea Breeze and will go to Duluth, Minn., sometime in August. Jacob Thomann & Sons are cutting some excellent sweet peas. C. W, Curtis is now cutting America and Halley gladioli. The first of his summer asters were also cut last week. Hart & Vick have just sent out their summer catalogues for fall bulbs, shrubs and flowers. Frank Purcell is cutting some excel- lent Francis Scott Key roses. Thomas Sullivan, of George B. Hart's, is on his vacation. Mr. Hart is showing a splendid collection of fancy baskets. Miss Harvey is spending the summer in Cleveland, O. Julius Berg, of Lion k Co., New York, called on the trade last week. George T
