Ziegler, Newport. R. I. — The spring season trade of 1907 in the seed line was not as good as in former years, the weather being entirely to blame for it. Many people put off planting until they thought it was altogether too late. The plant business was better for the reason that those who did not sow seeds had to buy plants Many tomato plants were froze and there was a large de- mand for them. The cut flower business excelled that of any previous year. There were no outdoor flowers until the middle of June and the people had to go to the florists. The sale of cut flowers and plants of all kinds on Decoration day was heavy. The Page Seed Greene, N. T.— July 1, 1907, will close our eleventh year of business, and it has been the most successful year we have had, not only from new customers gained and volume of business done, but also, a very Im- portant part In any business, the net profits. Our business has grown each year as fast as we could take care of It, last being no exception. Some stocks were short, and some dealers were will- ing to name almost any price in order to sell. Freights were slow and the usual number of other things came up to keep the dealer busy, but we keep on "sawing wood
