PACIFIC OCEAN (May 11, 2017) The guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97) participates in a simulated strait transit during a group sail training exercise. Group sail is the first step in the Theodore Roosevelt’s integrated training phase and aims to enhance mission readiness and warfighting capabilities between the ships, air wing and the staffs of the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group through simulated and real-world scenarios.
