A flintlock hunting pistol, German, circa 1760. Round, three-stage barrel with a smooth bore in 12 mm calibre. There is a engraved picture of a stag amid decorative rocaille on top of the chamber. Richly chiselled lock. Lightly carved walnut stock with horn nose cap. The entire surface of all the iron furniture is cut with depictions of numerous wild animals amid decorative rocaille, the background showing remnants of gilding. Wooden ramrod with horn tip.
