Wilhelm Richter (1824 - 1897) - "The Military Haircut", oil on parquet wood. Scene from the Campaign of 1848 in Upper Italy, officer in front of a tent observing an infantryman's hair being cut. Very nice scene inspired by the artist's own experience during the campaign, as Richter was at the time a painter in the royal imperial headquarters.
