UCI Road World Championships - Men's road race - were held in Copenhagen, Denmark in september 2011. The British team controlled the whole race and in the sprint Mark Cavendish became the second British World Champion after Tom Simpson in 1965. Second place by Matthew Goss (Australia) and third place by André Greipel (Germany).
