The Parish Church of Santa Maria in the town of Mosta on the Mediterranean Island of Malta
June 9th 1942. Three Nazi bombs struck the Church of Santa Maria in Mosta, Malta. Two bounced off landing in the square and failed to detonate. The thirs bomb broke through the roof landing inside with 300 people inside. This bomb also failed to detonate. Known as the miracle of Mosta a replica of the bomb can be found inside the church.
