The cross wires make a permanent record upon tliephotographic plates. The two negatives are superimposed so that the impression of crosswires on the one is exactly in position over the impression on theother. The picture now shown consists of (a) cross wires, (b) object onplate, (c) foreign body. There are now two shadows of the foreign body seen on the picture ;the distance between the two is an indication of the change induced bymoving the X-ray tube. The method of production can best be explained by a diagram. Plate. Tube -Foreign BodyObject Plate
