But even if they should succeed in inducing him to rap out, theywill never manage to compel him to fork out. They will, therefore, have to grin and bearthe loss of property which the petition seeks to have inflicted on them by the Perhaps, however, that document was based ona belief that a ghost could be called to account,and prosecuted beyond the grave.
