And the cherubim shall spread forth theirwings above, covering the mercy-seat with their wings; and theirfaces shall be towards each other; towards the mercy-seat shallthe faces of the cherubim be (that is, their faces shall be to-wards each other, and at the same time inclined towards themercy-seat).
