Based on an original ship built in Dublin, Eire, this one was built using traditional techniques, launched in September 2004 and sailed to Ireland in 2007. Five original long ships, which had been scuttled in the harbour in 11th century, were excavated in the late 1960s and are now in the adjacent Vikinge Skips Museet.
