Anton Graff. Portrait of Abraham Bosse. 1756–1813. Germany. Engraving on ivory laid paper Abraham Bosse was an important engraver in seventeenth-century France. Although Graff was known above all for his portraits, this image must have had special significance for him, since he was, like Bosse, a prolific printmaker.
