To the left lie thesite of the ruins of Heliopolis (the obelisk of which is not seen fromthe. railway), and the garden of Matariyeh with its sycamores, andthe large chateau of fAbbasiyeh, while on the right we perceivethe beautiful avenue leading to Shubra (p. 330). The environs ofthe city become more and more prominent, and about 50 leaving Benha the train enters the station of ( 128 M.
