Leaf Hoppers: Whitish insects suckingsap from the under side of the leaves, caus-ing a whitish spotting or mottling on uppersurface. Spray with nicotine solution asfor Red Bugs. Woolly Apple Aphids: A white, woollyor cottony mass on bark represents a colonyof this aphid, which sucks the sap, formingswellings or galls on the twigs. It clustersin wounds and prevents healing.
