Our Sabbath-school children are pre-paring for Childrens Day exercises,postponed until next Sunday one is anxious to do their Mr. Elsdon is preaching a seriesof evening sermons on HARTFORD CHARITIES. Y. M. C. A. NOTES. The reception held under the auspicesof the membership committee haveproven to be one of the best attractionsever offered to the young men of Hart-ford. As an evidence of this, for thelast five Wednesday nights the buildinghas been thronged by the members andtheir friends. In the early part of theevening they have been entertained byan orchestral concert given in the Re-ception Hall followed by a Basket Ballgame between two of the league teams. These games have been closely con-tested and full of snap and vigor. Theyhave proven more interesting thanthose of last season. The visitors at the close of the gameassemble in the rotunda where they en-joy for an hour the music by the or-chestra. Sociability reigns expressions of good-will to theAssociation for inaugurating these re-ceptions have been heard and becauseof their success they will be continuedthroughout the month.
