Cervical cyst. Light micrograph of a section through tissue from the cervix (neck of the womb) showing a mucous cyst (pale, centre). Mucous glands can become blocked leading to the development of mucous cysts (also called naothian cysts). In most cases cervical cysts are considered normal and are not treated.
