In 1923, the Radboud Foundation bought a mixed bag of merged buildings located on the Snijders, record makers and Muchterstraat. The university library was opened in this complex on January 7. Due to the bombing on February 22, 1944, the complex was badly damaged, but the newly built book depot survived the bombing. In 1967 the library moved to the campus, followed by demolition in 1973.
