The Military Sealift Command Vessel Gem State transfers a container to the Army Watercraft Logistics Support Vessel 5 (LSV-5), “Maj. Gen. Charles P. Gross,” during an in-stream cargo transfer exercise in the Persian Gulf, on June 13, 2017. The vessels moved containers from one boat to the other using the Gem State’s crane, in order to demonstrate the LSV’s sustainment support capabilities.
