Leominster, Herefordshire. 27th April 2017. The Mayor of Leominster takes a turn on the "Knock it down to win a prize" stall. Between 1199AD and 1350AD about 1500 charters were issued in England for towns to hold markets and fairs. Recorded as far back as 1282AD, Leominster continues like many other market towns to host an annual fair, continuing the ancient tradition. Credit: Jim Wood/Alamy Live News
