Tom Blundell (born 1942). Portrait of the British biochemist Sir Thomas Leon Blundell. Blundell's research on identifying the chemical processes of diseases has led to the development of drugs to treat Aids, cancer, cataracts and diabetes. He is the co-founder of two drug discovery companies, Astex Technology Ltd and Biofabrika. He is photographed here in front of a sculpture of the DNA double helix at Clare College, Cambridge, UK.
