This image may not be used to state or imply NOAO endorsement of any company or product M41 star cluster. Optical image of the open cluster M41 (NGC2287) that lies in the Canis Major constellation. It contains only one hundred stars, including several red giants (one seen at centre). M41 is 2300 light-years away, 25 light-year across and about 200 million years old.
