The "Wray Castle" A 1906 photograph of this merchant sailing ship with a crew of 29. This tri-masted square-rigger, steel-bulkheaded ship was built in 1889, in Workington, England. The ship's official number was 93850. It sailed out of Liverpool. In August 1906, the ship's cargo caught fire while at sea. They managed to reach port at St. Vincent (Cape Verde Islands). They did what repairs were possible and later the ship was towed back to Liverpool. To see my other vintage images, Search: Prestor vintage boat vehicle
