AUSTRALIAN PILOT RETURNS IN BADLY DAMAGED VENTURA - Attacked in mid-Channel when on a daylight bombing raid, FLYING OFFICER WILBUR DAVID PARSONS, an Australian flew his badly damaged Ventura nearly 100 miles back, and crash-landed successfully, without injury to any of his crew - all fellow Aistrallans. The Ventura, which had been attacked by Focke Wulf 190s had its port elevator shot through the wings, fuselage and tyres.
