Trained macaque called Undun holding his mask from a broken doll's head and his 17-year-old owner Latif perform at their workplace on a busy crossroad in Surakarta in Central Java, Indonesia. Street performances with wild monkeys known as the Topeng Monyet ('masked monkey' or 'dancing monkey') are still very popular in Indonesia, despite the protests of animal rights activists. Long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) are usually used for this cruel practice.
