PRIMULA (PRIMROSES). Obconica. A lovely perpetual blooming Prim- rose, needing- about same culture as the Chinese varie- ties. The flowers are borne profusely, in trusses, on long stems, color white, delicatelv tinted rosy lilac. Of easy culture, thriving with little care and attention. The blooming qualities are wonderful, in full flower from October to August, fully nine months in the year, pro- ducing twice the quantity of flowers of an}- plant with which we are acquainted. If desired it can be planted in open ground in summer and potted again in fall. (See cut.) Price 15 cts. Seed in packets of about 100 seed. Price 15 cts. Chinese Primrose (single). This florists' flower is held in great esteem, and is one of the most desirable winter blooming plants, flowering during the winter and spring months. Choice fringed varieties in many colors. Primroses prefer rather cool treatment and need but little sun, even doing finely in a north window. Price, fine large plants, from 4-inch pots, in bloom, 25 cts.; 3 varieties for 60 cts. Smaller plants, 15 cts.; 2 for 25 cts. The large size plants go best by express. ORANGE Otaheite (new from Japan). A new variety which is suitable for pot culture, and which will with anyone prove one of the most desirable pot plants it is possible to possess. It is not an uncommon thing to see little cutting plants five or six inches in height, full of bloom, and even bearing one or two medium-sized oranges. The fruit at their best are not more than half the size of an ordinary orange, but are very bright and beautiful in color and deli- cious in quality; but it is for its flowers more than its fruit which commends it to general cultivation.
