A flintlock pistol, Johann Andreas Kuchenreuter, Steinweg near Regensburg, circa 1800. Round Damascus barrel with microgroove rifling in 12 mm calibre. Silver front sight and folding two-piece iron rear sight. The top of the barrel bears rich silver-inlaid scroll decoration and the signature, "I. ANDREAS KUCHENREUTER." The number "2" is inscribed over the breech, which also has a gold-filled rider mark. Iron flintlock with another signature on the lockplate. Roller-mounted frizzen. Single set trigger. Carved walnut stock with a horn nose cap and iron furniture.,
