Waverley train station and bridge in Edinburgh, as seen from the heights of the castle. Sight-seeing buses and Calton Hill seen

The Waverley Train Station (and the bridge right next to it) are located right in the heart of the city of Edinburgh. The station is at a lower level than the road, and is fairly large, catering to all the tourists who arrive in the city from London and other locations in the country. The size of the station below ground level along with the train tracks and trains on them can be seen in this photo, taken from the heights of the Edinburgh Castle. In front of the station, there is the bridge with many tourist buses and other traffic on top of the bridge. In fact, most tourist buses and the hop-on-hop-off start from here and cover different parts of the city. The photo shows a view of a number of buildings that make up this part of Edinburgh, and also includes a view of some historic landmarks in the distance such as the National Monument and Nelsons Monument on Calton Hill in Edinburgh.
