Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 5 (EODMU5) platoon 142 use an EOD F-470 Combat Rubber Raiding Craft to return to Naval Base Guam May 8, 2017. EODMU5 is currently testing its ability to deploy assets from various platforms, including helicopters and patrols, to increase its adaptive interoperability. EODMU5 conducts mine countermeasures, improvised explosive device operations, renders safe explosive hazards and disarms underwater explosives such as mines.
