The ceremony marked the conclusion of Chesty XIV's recruit training and basic indoctrination into the Corps. In the upcoming months, The young Marine will serve in a mascot-apprentice roll for the remainder of the summer working alongside his predecessor and mentor Sgt. Chesty XIII until the sergeant's retirement which is expected in late August.
