Pigmented purpuric dermatosis
Pigmented purpuric dermatosis (PPD) on the hand of a 30 year old white female patient. This is a skin disorder that causes purpura (purple coloured patches), most often on the legs. The cause of PPD is unknown, but the skin discolouration is due to leaky capillaries.
