Provenance: "The Family Atlas under the superintendence of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge", published by Edward Stanford, London. Type: Antique steel engraved map with original hand colouring. The western part of the Mexican US border follows the River Gila, although the Gadsden purchase which moved the border further south had been completed in 1854.
