Early 1900's WW1 era saucy sweetheart postcard of a lady waiting by the fire in a suggestive pose for her boyfriend, posted in July 1916 from Maidenhead, Berkshire, England, The postcard was sent by a new recruit on arrival at his training camp to his girlfriend back in Kent.


Posted by the recipient's sweetheart called 'Arch' (Archie) on 31 July 1916 from Maidenhead, Berkshire. 'Arch' was was probably beginning his training in the nearby Marlow training trenches, before being sent on active service to the front. He was possibly a Royal Engineer as they are recorded as being billeted in Maidenhead,
