Tucepi is a small seaside town in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. It is located on the Adriatic coast of Dalmatia known as Makarska Riviera. The area was first settled four thousand years ago by the Illyrians. Now, like many towns on the Makarska Riviera, the pretty Tucepi is benefiting from a tourist boom. Maybe its lovely climate, crystalline waters, beaches and scenic location under the Biokovo mountains might have something to do with it? Its tiny Church of St George is shown here. Even packed to the rafters, it holds no more than a dozen people. And, appropriately enough, it is surrounded on all sides by holiday villas, hotels and apartments.
