The Antrim Coast and Glens is an area of County Antrim in Northern Ireland, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1988.[1] The designation takes in the coastline from Ballycastle in the north to Larne in the south of County Antrim, and includes Rathlin Island. The inland area encompasses the Glens of Antrim and the Antrim Plateau which reaches its highest point at Trostan, 550 m above sea level and comprises 706 square kilometres.
