Solid wreaths of snow-white flowers that cannot be counted in numbers, perfectly hardy, and in the Spring it is a weeping fountain of white. Blue Spirea.—Caryopteris. One of the best new plants in- troduced from Japan, perfectly hardy and groAvs about 2 feet high. Is covered until November with dense clusters of blue flowers, ele- gant for cutting. Hydrangea Paniculata Grandif lora. We believe'this to be the most desirable hardy shrub in cultivation. Flowers white, borne in immense pyramidal trusses more than a foot long. It re- mains in flower two or three months; creates a great sensation wherever seen. It is sure to bloom finely the first season. Forsythia. An old and valued shrub, growing four to five feet high. It is such a mass of brilliant yellow that it can be seen for a long distance, and lights up a lawn or yard as nothing else can at that early season. Deutzia Gracilis. Very bushy and completely covered with, pure white flowers. Wiegefa.—Variegata. There is no more desirable shrub than this. Leaves are finely variegated, white and green, and the flowers are home'in immense masses, bending the branches to the ground. Color, l)lusli pink. Sui)erb.
