English artist, film maker, costume designer, writer, gardener and gay rights activist Derek Jarman's simple grey slate headstone in the churchyard of St Clement's Church, New Romney, Romney Marsh Kent. The headstone bears only his name. In 1986 Jarvis moved to Prospect Cottage at nearby Dungeness. The cottage became famous for its garden on the Dungeness shingle and as a hub for for his artistic endeavours.
