Parish Church of St Lukes, Formby. Set in the pinewoods, the Church dates from the 1850s when it was built by Miles Formby and then completed by his his sister, Mary, and his brother, Richard. According to records a church previously stood on this site but was destroyed by a sandstorm in 1739.
