The print was copied to the Ets of Romeyn de Hooghe from 1673 (FMH 2439/5) and shows the killing from the residents of a village. A French soldier forces a naked woman through the ice in the foreground. On the right a burning house with the naked bodies of the murdered residents on a pile in front of the house.
