Atrocities in a village in the winter, 1672. Presentation of the atrocities committed by the French troops in Woerden in the winter of 1672. The print was copied to the Ets of Romeyn de Hooghe from 1673 (FMH 2439/5) and shows the killing from the residents of a village. A French soldier forces a naked woman through the ice in the foreground. On the right a burning house with the naked bodies of the murdered residents on a pile in front of the house.
